Raging libido

Ok! I'm 5 days post op and "eager" as ever!! I am curious if anyone else is experiencing this?? I'm assuming that the people who tried sex at 1 and 2 weeks were probably feeling the same thing.

My hubby left for Korea in June and we could not be intimate before he left because of overflowing period! He is not due to come back until June 2014 and I find myself thinking about and having urges these last few days. WTH?!? I should be scared and waiting to heal..now I'm anticipating my January trip to Korea!!!

Anyone else having these issues?!?!

Re: Raging libido

Yes I am 3 weeks post op today, and have been feeling like this for 2 weeks now. Never had a sex drive before my surgery, so I say this is a big plus for me.

Re: Raging libido

I am so there with you sister!!!

I am 3 weeks post op today and am totally counting the days until I can be intimate with my partner. We have had some skin to skin contact this past weekend - I was craving the closeness as much as anything else.

Re: Raging libido

I had a sex drive one good week out of every month cause of my crazy periods. My period was on the week before my surgery, OF COURSE! I'm hoping this isn't that one good week in disguise...plus I would like it to hang in there until Jan..lol!!

Re: Raging libido

I'm thinking I should be scared and sex should be the last thing on my mind. I'm feeling great and sexy...weird really!

Re: Raging libido

I'm so glad to read this because I've been concerned that my sex drive would diminish since I've had my ovaries removed. I am 5 days post op and have had "urges" too. I am wondering if I will and hoping that I will continue my level of desire.

Re: Raging libido

Lezlainie, we had surgery the same day! I kept my ovaries, I feel great though. I'm not over doing it and getting rest. I was relaxing and listening to some slow music and BAM! It wasn't even on my mind. NOW, I'm noticing it more and more. I hope my urges don't disappear any time soon!!

Re: Raging libido

I'm 7 weeks post op (TAH/BSO) and the first 3 weeks I was having erotic dreams that would wake me up panting.. My drive is still there even now with no ovaries or HRT.. It's a little sluggish, but we can get the mood going.

Re: Raging libido

It's quite common to read about other ladies with higher sex drives during recovery. I also felt the same way. I think my reasons were because I was eager to see if the pain was finally going to be done and because I find myself always wanting something more when I can't have it. lol! Sometimes the urge will go away but for others it continues to linger.
