Wink - Birthday Contest August 2010 - What do you love about HysterSisters? Re: Birthday Contest August 2010 - What do you love about HysterSisters?

What I really love about HysterSisters is just that... we are all sisters sharing our lives with each other, sharing our experiences and trying to ease each others worries and concerns. We are encouraging one another through our love for each of our sisters. And, we ARE sisters. Just to have this type of support when you really need it, is invaluable.

Happy Birthday Hystersisters. What I love about this site is all the support I have gotten over the last year. It has been a lifesaver for me. No question is considered dumb and everyone tries to help each other. This place is so fantastic and the ladies here are great. It has been the one thing that has really helped over this past year of my life. Thank goodness for ladies who understand our fears, anger, happiness, etc. It is the greatest.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HysterSisters! Your site was such a big help to me before and after my hysterectomy. It was so nice to be able to chat with other women going through the same things.

Talking - Birthday Contest August 2010 - What do you love about HysterSisters? Re: Birthday Contest August 2010 - What do you love about HysterSisters?

Hystersisters has been a wonderful site of support that I have not found anywhere else. Having a hysterectomy at such an early age many people did not understand the things that I was going through. Here I was able to find people who knew what I has feeling and going through. Even after my hysterectomy, with my follow-up surgeries, there has always been someone there to answer my questions, help put my mind at east, or just lend a shoulder when I was unable to find one elsewhere. I cannot imagine going through ANY of this without this wonderful site!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!!!

Re: Birthday Contest August 2010 - What do you love about HysterSisters?

This is your birthday song!
This is your birthday song!
It isn't very long!
It isn't very long!
TADA!

But really, happy birthday to an idea that has flourished into a community like no other. What started as a few women swapping stories has turned into a family like I never imagined. I can come here as I am, who I am, and be loved without judgment, fear or scorn. I can rant and have a chorus with me ranting right along. I can cry and have shoulders as far as the eye can see, all with tissues for me. I can question and be met with answers or directions and advice to the nearest available answer.

I have cried when you cried. I have laughed when you laughed. I have felt angry when you were hurt and angry. And I know that your support helped me through my trying times. You, all of you, have touched my life. Every day I swear I won't check the forum, but it calls to me. I need to touch the lives of the princesses yet to come. I need to be here for them, when they have all the same questions I asked, the same fears and aches. I need to remind them like you remind me still that we are strong, we are beautiful and we can make it.

The best thing about this site is it's ability to make me feel okay, to help me realize that sometimes I need to let go and let the chips fall where they may. I do not have to carry the world, I just have to take care of me. The rest will fall into place.

I hope to see another 100 years here. Happy birthday!

Smile - Birthday Contest August 2010 - What do you love about HysterSisters? Re: Birthday Contest August 2010 - What do you love about HysterSisters?

I love Hyster Sisters because there was a genuine heartfelt concern about the well being of others going through the same thing. And every variation of diagnosis and surgery option are represented. I had so many questions that I was afraid to ask someone or even my doctor, and I was comforted time and time again as I read through what to "expect" and what is "normal" and even just the fact that someone took the time to slow down and respond to my qustions even though their surgery may have been a couple years ago! I have told many about this sight and I truly felt it was a gift from God at just the right time! I am 7 months post --op and doing well. Just being able to tell someone that it gets better is a gift! Much love,

Re: Birthday Contest August 2010 - What do you love about HysterSisters?

One of the things that I love about Hystersisters is the caring and compassion of the Hostesses .

Thanks to all of you for the advice and support you give to all of us; for your dedication to us; and for all the time you give to us .

Thank you Kathy for starting this fabulous site and for all you have done to make Hystersisters what it is - a place where we can be held up through our fears and tears and where we can be friends with others going through what we are going through and where we can try to give back by helping others the way we have been helped .
