Bleeding still...

Hey my sisters!

I am almost 4 weeks post op and am still bleeding quite a bit. It appears to be almost gushing...I have tried to take it easy and when I am off my feet, the bleeding stops considerable but I feel great and have no pain.

I have a call into the doctor as I feel this isn't normal to have this kind of bleeding and the blood is bright red. I am concerned, should I be?

I had the Davinci and have had no other problems besides the constant bleeding...any advice would be great!

Bleeding still...

Hi,

I would definitely go to the ER, that doesn't seem normal. I didn't have the same operation as you, I am sure someone else will respond to this thread. The bleeding is a worry, and should be taken very seriously. Hang in there and keep us updated.

I think that you should go to the ER also. You stated that you are four weeks out from the surgery...that seems like a lot of bleeding. I stopped bleeding maybe a week or less and it was basically nothing. I didn't have the type of surgery that you had. Mine was laparscopic and vaginally. Take care of yourself and listen to your body!

Bleeding still...

Alright ya'll saved me! I did go into the ER where the bleeding got progressively worse....after multiple exams, a terrible hemotoma on my arm, the oncall OBGYN took me into emergency surgery where they repaired a major tear in my vaginal cuff. Had I have waited, I would have probably been in major trouble.

My blood count is low so I am on iron, back to taking pain meds and antibiotics...the funniest part was when I told the doctor what my sisters said on the website about what the problem could be and....we were right!

Thanks again for everyone's wonderful advice....I am on the mend now!
