confused about meds

I very curious about anyone that took aygestin or any of the hormonal drugs to help stop bleeding. Well my aygestin was not working so my doc said go off for 7 days then go back on, taking 3 pills a day. When I went off the aygestin I am feeling like my old self. The bleeding continues but there is not cramping and no major depression. Can the aygestin cause depression?? All it is, is a hormone, right?? I am going to call the doc this coming week and ask him about this, (he is sooooo tired of hearing from me, oh well.) How can I be ready for surgery if this hormone is making me nuts and in pain???
I will also look back on other forums to see if I can find anything.

I looked up the med you wrote about and yes mental depression can be a possible side effect. You can find a list of common side effects on rxlist.com. You can also ask your pharmacy for the package insert and this info will be there too. Hope your felling better soon.
