5 cm lymph node in vaginal area
Hello everyone, I had a tvh in 2001 due to cin lll and carcinoma in situ. I went in last week for what I thought was a yeast infection which turned out to be a bacterial infection, but while she was checking me she found what she thinks is a swollen lymph node.
It has been there for at least 7 months that I know of, I thought it was a boil when it first started hurting, but when the pain stoped I never thought about but now it is huge. It started out about the size of a bean.
Now it is about 5 cm and it does not hurt, I didn't even realize it was still there. I will be going in on the 6th the see the gyno and have a biopsy done, but I am curious what are the chances of the cin lll being missed when I had my hysteroctomy done or the dysplasia coming back in the lymph nodes?
For the last year I have had stomach issues, lots of abdominal pain, all my cbc's come back with increased white blood cells and major fatigue. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: 5 cm lymph node in vaginal area
Hi, I am sorry you have this new worry. If you doctor believes CIN3 or dysplasia may have returned; you may want to consider consulting with a gyn/onc who are the precancer/cancer experts.
I know some of the ladies dealing with CIN will be along soon and will share their experiences/knowledge with you. Pls keep us posted.

Well, I'm afraid I don't have any concrete info to share, but I wanted to second Peggiesue's suggestion concerning the gyn/onc.
And, I wanted to send some hugs your way!

Re: 5 cm lymph node in vaginal area
I agree with the previous advice - I think it's important to see a gynecological oncologist. I don't have any info for you but my GYN-onc is so much more specialized and thorough at checking things out than my GYN or my medical oncologist.
Good luck and let us know what you find out.
