Any five weekers out there? How are you doing?
Can't believe it has been five weeks since surgery. Time has gone by so quickly. I feel almost back to normal except for when I sit for long periods at a time. I think my stiches are still healing since I had a LAVH with entrocele and posterior repair. But other than that, I feel great!! I am so glad I finally decided to have the surgery. My doctor had tried to get me for three years to have it.
I hope the rest of the five weekers are doing well.
Just wanted to touch base with everyone and see how they were doing.

Any five weekers out there? How are you doing?
Hey, I'm a 5-weeker today! It has been a long, hard road, but I think I'm on the up side now. I have been battling bladder issues for the last week and went to a urologist yesterday, which was NOT a pleasant experience. Have you gone back to work yet? My boss called today and wanted to know when I was coming back. My doctor hasnt released me yet, but I think that my boss wants me back ASAP, regardless of when I am released. I get tired really quick when I am up and around, and just feel that sitting at my computer at work all day is not the best thing for me to do right now. Are you physically doing alot right now?

I don't work, wish I did. My husband is self employed and likes me to be available to do things with him.
I still tire easily. I went to a wedding on Saturday and was exhausted all day Sunday. I think the heat has alot to do with it too.

Any five weekers out there? How are you doing?
Howdy 5 weekers!
Im doing good. For the most part, feel totally back to normal except at the end of the day when my left side still gets a bit sore. Tiredness is getting better, feeling more energy.
Reality check today when I tried to lift my little girl and felt it big time. Ok tonight tho.
Still have a small blood clot in my arm that they are watching carefully, but it doesnt pose a huge threat. It is slowly dissapating.
Brownish discharge still there with an occasional "stitch". So I guess those are disolving now.
Went in for my 4 week and was told i could do a "little" more, but I am still swollen so no sex or working out yet. I go in again next Wednesday and hope to get the green light!
Back at work, doing everything around house except lifting and anything too strenueous.
Hope all is well with you!!!!!! Any TVH having sex??

Any five weekers out there? How are you doing?
Howdy 5-weekers - sounds like everyone is doing pretty well. I went back to work 1/2 time this week and it wasn't too bad, I liked getting back into the swing of things. But I still had to come home and take a little nap.
As good as I feel, I know that I had major surgery and make myself slow down and not get overtired or overdo anything. My biggest challenge is to not lift heavy objects, people, dogs, or whatever is in my way.
My bladder is still a little spasmy and I have a little discharge still, but otherwise I am pretty much back to normal. I am waiting for the 6 week Dr visit for the sex OK, but have "practiced" other things just to make sure it would work.....

Any five weekers out there? How are you doing?
Hi fellow 5 weekers! I am 5 weeks today, can hardly believe it!
This week has really been a turning point for me I think. No more pain meds, OTC either. I can't remember the last time I have not needed Advil to take the pain away on a daily basis! What i have now is tolerable. Still have some left sided discomfort, tenderness at bottom of incision, and my back hurts if I am on my feet too long, but other than that pain wise it is great.
Have been really having problems sleeping. Just lie in bed and can't do a thing but stare with my eyes shut ha ha. Not like me at all. Not anxious or anything just can't sleep. Slept a little better last night ( like 4 hours total) and feel GREAT today!!! Amazing what a little sleep can do!
I am back to all my activities like cleaning, cooking sweeping, taking care of all my animals ( 2 horses, 2 dogs, 8 cats, flying squirrel and 2 ducks) minus all the lifting. Still not aloud lifting anything over 10 pounds til next week then nothing over 25 for 2 more weeks after that. No running, sex, or anything else strenuous til 2-4 more weeks depending on my pain levels he said. Take it slow doc told me.
I have not had a problem with swelly belly which I am thankful for.
Not going back to work til the 8 week mark, which is fine by me. I am enjoying my days.
Well nice hearing from all of you sounds like we are all doing pretty darn good don't you think??? Tiffany

Any five weekers out there? How are you doing?
Hi!
I am at five weeks. Will be at six weeks on Monday!
I actually thought I would never get better. I guess I was kind of giving up. Then a few days ago I started feeling "normal" again.
Now I have to slow myself down! My incision hurts a little, and I feel achy sometimes. But it is like night and day compared to how I felt at week three and four.
Good Luck to all!!!

Any five weekers out there? How are you doing?
I thought I was finally starting to do better just a few days ago. Still had the right sided pain and still very tender, but I figured the tenderness will last awhile. Had not had any back pain since before my surgery and then 3 mornings ago I woke up with it.
After that, I thought, oh no, spoke to soon and jinxed myself. Then I started having urinating symptoms and then yesterday I started aching all over and had fever and chills last night. I have ran a fever to some degree from high to low grade since the surgery until just a few days ago. Last night I started it again, only this time it was up to 100.4 and then I had to take some motrin. I was wearing winter pj's and under the covers freezing.
I went to DR today, posted about that already. Turns out instead of the bladder or kidney infection I thought I had, it is a small vaginal cuff infection. I am wondering if I have had it the whole time because of all the problems I have had. My hemoglobin is also low, got that report last Thursday and was told to take some iron. I have been feeling very tired and not much energy to do things.
My gyn had told me to let him know if things were not better with my right sided pain by 6 weeks. He said he wants to do an ultrasound if it is not better. Hope that maybe since I got some antibiotics for this infection that maybe it will finally clear up and things will be better. We are planning a beach trip in about 3 weeks and I do want to be able to go! I need a vacation from all this! So I hope I can say that things are better for me soon. Sorry to respond so draggy, when so many are doing great, but I am really happy for you all!!
