call from mother-in-law

Hi Ladies,

It's week 1. I haven't been out of pj's, need to shave my legs and remember to wash my face and brush my teeth and hair. I sleep, watch movies, log on to hystersisters and read. Presently, I'm running a fever and worrried about an infection. I've only left the house to check the mail and walk down the street to get fresh air. I am remembering to

My mother-in-law called today and left a message saying, "Hi, hon, sorry I missed you. Maybe you're out shopping or back at work!" If she could only see me!

I'm thinking...hello, I've just had major surgery. She's a real sweetheart and I know she didn't mean anything by it, but she hadn't talked to my husband since the day after my surgery. I'm just amazed that she didn't even realize that this is major surgery!

Trust me...it's amazing how many folks are sooo clueless as to what we're going through. Hang in there! The most important person right now is YOU!

Well she certainly thinks your super woman dosent she.
As sure as you are that people don't mean to come off as they do, is as surely as they stun you with their remarks.
This journey will make you so much more understanding for the next lady you know who goes through this.
