Post-Op recovery- abdominal radical hysterectomy

Well,I had my surgery on June 26th and must say that I am more the happy to give feedback that is not bad. I actually feel ok. The pain after was pretty horrible, but nothing the pain killers couldnt take care of. I had a catheter for 10 days post op, and I must say that the catheter was the worse part of the recovery, just plain annoying and not comfortable. I expected horrible constipation and a swollen belly and pain that is un barable,but I actually did pretty well.
The one thing that depressed me was the fact that I was told that the surgery would be the answer to getting rid of the cervical cancer and when they went in to do the surgery they found positive lymph nodes
Now I have to heal and then start chemo and radiation. Im pretty depressed about it and just hope that I luck out in those treatments as well.
