Just got home from the castle

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty sore right now. Surgery went well. They came close to having to open me right up though because of the fibroid size. Spent overnight in the hospital since I was nauseous and dizzy but this morning so far so good. My parents picked me up and I'm back in bed again for awhile. T3's are my friend right now.
FYI the pain from the gas just set in this morning. Ouch.

Make sure your take your stool softners!!!! My biggest complaint at my two week visit with my dr was constipation and gas!!! I felt so much better when all this "passed"! Gas x And stool softners became my friend!! It's week 3 and I still do a daily softner! Good luck and you will be doing better in a few!! Just don't over do it!!

Lots of rest! I am almost 2 weeks post....the gas is the worst! Eat lots of fruits to help out and I would rock when it started hurting. Good luck....it will be worth it!

Re: Just got home from the castle

The thing that worked wonders for me was taking a 1-2 min. walk from one end of my house to the other (slowly) every hour or two - helps the gas work it's way out ... And munching on dried prunes along with the stool softeners kinda got things going.

Welcome to the other side!

Re: Just got home from the castle

Gas x worked great for me and also taking miralax to soften my stool.

Re: Just got home from the castle

oatmeal also worked well for me, it kept me flowing smoothly. I also used the dulcolax and lots of water and plenty of short walks. I have been lucky enough to not have had any issues so far ( knock wood!). The Gas-x releives some of the bloating feeling and the stool softeners keep the other flowing smoothly, dont let up on either

Re: Just got home from the castle

I feel completely swollen and bloated right now but I know that will pass in a couple of days. I'm getting up every hour or so to walk and get more water, even if I'm only up for 5 min it's something.
Getting some stinging pain from the scope sites a bit but I think that's normal.
All things said I feel a lot better than I thought I would which is good
