38 w/surgery on 11/23/04

I'm 38 and very anxious about this surgery mostly because it seemed that when I had no insurance and I was complaining in er's of severe cramps and back pain they gave me little or nothing to go on although something within myself just know it was right or normal. When I finially got coverage it was like a tornado of activity and landed in my lap with the explination of "A front and rear prolapsing vaginal wall low enough that when I sit on the toilet the top of my cervix protrudes slightly. The stabbing pain in my urethra is yet to be diognosed although there will be some repair work done to my bladder I have no idea at the point and time to what digree. I will have those test done on the 16th of this month followed by a pre-op on the 19th, with surgery following on the 23rd. I'm assuming at my pre-op is where Ill find out exactly what they want to do. So I am feeling very anxious about this hystorectomy and the repairs that will need to be done.

any advice would be helpful
thank you,
simplyangel

hi simplyangel,

I would just make sure to start a list of questions to ask your doctor when you see him/her to make sure you do not forget anything. This site has so much great info, you will find a lot of answers here also ....I hope all goes well for you! Keep us posted on what happens with your tests
I noticed we share the same surgery date also!
You will be in my thoughts TC
