I can't spell!
I figure this may be hormonal, and thanks to this site and the book "Sudden Menopause" I'm on my way to addressing the hormone jungle.
But, in the meantime, I can't spell and I can't find the words I'd like to use when I'm speaking. I'm a real Ozark hillbilly and have trouble writing and speaking anyway, but this is too much.
It is so bad, my spell checker can't even come close to recognizing words to fix them.
Please tell me I'll return to my deficient, but adequate spelling and talking abilities after I get my hormones back in shape.

I can't spell!
Hi Polaris
I can relate to what you are experiencing. I have really struggled with the brain fog I feel certain mine is hormonal too, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating. Sometimes I'll be typing or talking away and a word will just escape me. I'm using my little desk dictionary more too and I have always prided myself on my ability to spell. Stress seems to make it worse so when I find myself having a really hard time with that type of thing I try to stop and just step back a bit from whatever is going on.
I too am working to balance my hormones. I think that is helping and hopefully this will continue to get better. Have you seen the article about Too Much Estrogen, Too Little ? This is a list of the symptoms of having too much or too little estrogen and the other hormones too. I have found it helpful in my effort to figure out what is going on with my own body.
in there. I wish you well on your journey through the jungle.
's, Rita

I can't spell!
Does anyone have this experience with brain fog? You are walking down the hall or doing some activity and all of a sudden you don't know where you are and what you are doing, like you are experiencing some kind of time warp. Panic sets in and it takes a few seconds to remember everything. Your stomach turns and you skip a few breaths. I seem to have those all the time and it's quite scary. I have been struggling for the last five months (yes, today is my five month anniverary) with getting my hormones balanced and I am hoping that is all this is and not some form of mental illness developing. I do have some depression I am dealing with. Please tell me I am not alone with this one either.

I can't spell!
Thank Goodness I am not the only one feeling this way!! I don't even want to talk to people on the phone becuase I sound like I am stupid or something. I can't find words or even my own voice I don't reconinze. I feel like I am sleep walking some of the time. I thought it was just me. I have had many other surgeries but none have effected me like this. I am hoping it is hormones. Thanks for all you other closet fog heads to come out.

I can't spell!
Oh that is it exactly. I keep telling my DH I feel "a little off center", "tilted", I can't spell, typing is very difficult, for that matter any brain activity is difficult. I did call the Dr. Friday and they increased by V-dot from .025 to .0375, hopefully that will help, but the waiting to find out is the hard part.
