1st day post op

I'm so happy I decided to get a hysterectomy. Fibroids, adenomyosis and rectocele gone!! I don't do well with anesthesia and narcotics, so i puked a lot but once I got it out of my system, I started perking up a bit. I iced a lot. Everyone warns about the gas, and I've been taking gas x this whole time but that is what is kicking my but right now. Walking helps but it hurts!!

Got home a few hours ago and have just been on torodol ? and now on 800 ibuprofen. No narcotics- thanks!

Re: 1st day post op

So glad everything is great for you!!! I was a little different in post-op. I was combative but they were earned ahead of time. I am on pain meds but not as often as I thought I would need them. I have not had too many issues with gas pain but I sure need to poop! It's not awful bad but sometimes uncomfortable. Good luck with your continuing recovery!
