OK to use a heating pad ???

Hi

I think you should ask your when heat is OK. The general rule for injuries of any kind is to use ice for acute pain and heat thereafter. If it isn't helping anyway, best not to take a risk until you find out for sure.

OK to use a heating pad ???

It's always a good thing to check with your own doctor before doing anything like this on your own. What is okay for one patient isn't necessarily okay for another. If you aren't experiencing any new pains or other symptoms after using the heating pad it's not likely that you've hurt yourself, but please check with your doctor to see if it's okay to use one.

OK to use a heating pad ???

They actually gave me a heating pad to use the entire time I was at the castle. Guess it depends on the . Call the office and check to see before using it. I know I used mine again last night for back pain due to sleeping in funny positions.

OK to use a heating pad ???

I started using a heating pad 5 days post-op. DR had removed my staples that day and he suggested it.

OK to use a heating pad ???

I used a heating pad with my doctor's okay. I did receive alot of relief with it...Just be sure not to have temp up too high, because if you fall asleep with it like that, it can actually burn..

The main reason I used the pad was for bowel probs. When I was going through the worst of the constipation problems, I found that the heat soothed my tummy. We're all different, Jaime. Do what's best for you, with doctor approval.
