5 week Post-Op partial hysterectomy

I'm 5 weeks into my post-op from my partial hysterectomy surgery. I'm still having some pain but for the most part have been healing very well, you can barely see parts of my scar. I'm going nuts though because I have 5 days before my 6 week check up and I want my husband so bad. Would it be safe to have sex since I'm 5 days from my 6 week check-up? I've done everything else I've been instructed to do, besides pick up my 2 year old daughter a few times.

Listen to the doctor and wait. The doctor will check your vaginal cuff to make sure you are healed with no complications. Things can go south very quickly. I know the waiting stinks, but better to hang in there for a few days than risk injury and have a huge setback where sex could be out of the picture for weeks/months!

Thank you for the encouragement! I'm just so frustrated and my emotions are all over the place and I am missing that closeness with my husband. He has been so strong but I want to cave.

I know, it's tough! Can you both still snuggle and maybe do outercourse? No intercourse, yet, but maybe that would take the edge off?

Or frustrate you more? Lol, the appointment is almost here - hang in there! Glad you've had a good recovery!

Waiting is highly advisable. You do not know yet how your internal stitches have healed. The post op checkup will let you know if you have the green light for intimacy.
