Doing great 8 wks after TAH

Hi to all - it's been 8 weeks since my TAH and I wanted to share that I'm doing really well. I had a very smooth, unremarkable hospital stay and recovery; took five weeks off so now have had three weeks of full-time work, and each week has been better than the last. I was really careful during my at-home time to NOT overdo, which was difficult. My doctor is pretty thorough about coming in for post-op visits, being careful to limit my activity,etc., and a couple of weeks ago cleared me for all activities, including running and soccer, and sex. I'm happy to report that despite some anxieties on my part, sex is working out just fine - no problems there.
Since I had a very large fibroid removed and am no longer anemic, I think I'll soon be feeling even better than preop.

im so glad to hear your doing so well. Isnt the time just flying by? Im 7 wks post op today, I dont know where the time has gone. Im feeling great. Doing most of my normal stuff. Still have a tender belly at times, but nothing that slows me down much DH and I have even been having sex and altough im still VERY carefull its been great!

Sounds like you're being a good , which as you acknowledge isn't always as easy as it sounds.
