I have been feeling great but I just started bleeding bright red blood. Has anyone else experienced this and if so did you go back to dr?

Post Opt 14 Days-Question?
Hi TGMcGhee
As long as it isn't a lot of blood it,s probably ok. Some bleeding on and off during recovery is considered normal. At this stage your stitches are probably starting to dissolve. When that happens it can cause bleeding to happen.
If it gets to where you are filling a pad every hour or passing clots be sure to call your dr. If it worries you go ahead and call to put your mind at ease. I don't think you should ever sit and worry.
I hope it clears up for you soon.

Post Opt 14 Days-Question?
My doc told me that I should not bleed at all once it has completely stopped..Isn't it interesting how diff docs say diff things? They said if I was bleeding/spotting/anything but clear that it means i was overdoing it. :O

Post Opt 14 Days-Question?
I started to bleed bright red blood at about day 9. Turns out I tore stitches. At my 2-week post-op appt, the dr said I should NOT have listened to his nurse, who had told me it was probably okay, and SHOULD have called to speak with him directly. He had to perform a painful cauterization in the office. It worked, but it set my healing, in effect, back to square one. I'd call the dr office and ask to have a call back from the dr. Only he knows how he stitched you up in there, and the advice from the nurses is general advice given to all patients. Please call your dr. You could end up with a serious infection. It could also be something else entirely, and you might be having a draining occur. Please call the dr! I should have talked with mine directly. I'd have had less pain and better care 5 days earlier than I did, and it would have helped a lot!
