Discharge

Hi Ladies,

Can anyone tell me how long the discharge will last?
I am 12 weeks post-op and still have discharge and have to use a mini pad all the time.

Also does anyone know if the swelly belly really does go away with time?

Thanks,
Debbie

Discharge

Hi Debbie! I'm almost 5 weeks post op with a discharge still and also a very swelly belly still. I think every body is different and heals at different rates.

Discharge

Hi,

I didn't have any discharge, but I have a swelly-belly still! My doc told me from 6-12 months until it starts going down.

Everyone is different!

Discharge

Hi Debbie!
I was a lucky one and didn't have discharge or swelly belly, but you may want to try a post in the post op boards to see what the other post op ladies have to say. Of course, it couldn't hurt to give a call to your doctor on this one too! Hope you find some answers!

Discharge

Did you let your Dr know about the discharge? I would let him/her know. I had a discharge along with some burning - I ended up having a bacterial infection. I am 14 weeks post op and my swelly belly seems to be going down each week. This week it seems to be almost back to normal. Take care!!! Cathy

HI DEBBIE

i am at almost 9 wk post op and i too am still having discharge and wearing the panty liners. dr's nurse said since there is no air to the sight that it just takes time to heal and we are all different.
i can't wait to get rid of the liners and be able to sleep in the buff

hope everyone is doing great in their recovery!
