I finally go my book Through the Land of Hyster from Barnes & Noble!!!

I finally got it. WOW was I surprised after all the posts indicating it was not available. I put a post on the message board last week (not sure exactly when) that I had ordered one from the Barnes & Noble store here in Lakewood, Washington. When I went in (1-22-01) to check and see if they were able to get it, they told me it had been shipped from the distributor. I again checked this past Friday (1-26-01) to see if it had come in. The cashier (a different one than the one who told me it had been shipped) checked on the computer and told me it would have to be ordered from the publisher. Well, I thought that was it - I was not going to get one. After all the posts on the message board indicating it was out of print, I was sure that was the case. THEN ---- guess who called this afternoon (1-29-01) - the Barnes & Noble store telling me my book had arrived at the store. YIPPEE! I now have it here in front of me. I don't know if it was from a warehouse somewhere or a distributor or what, but apparently they are out there. I wonder how many. I hope all of you who want one can find one.

Since my surgery is on 2-7-01 (TAH/BSO with Burch bladder procedure), it came just in time.

YAY Sherry, I am so glad that you were able to get the book. And thanks for letting us know that it is possible to get it from Barnes & Noble.

Hi Sherry, You are one LUCKY Sister! I, too, contacted B&N and they ordererd on of the 3 copies they had in their wharhouse, jumped up and down a bit, the phone rang and guess what- no more copies! My surgery is 2/14, still have some time- I think I might post again and see if anyone would let me borrow their book. I live in Ohio and have even called friends in PA and FL trying to find a copy!
