Vaginal bleeding 9 months post-op
Hello ladies!
I am writing to see if anyone else has had unexpected bleeding? I haven't bled since surgery and then yesterday, I started spotting. I actually had to go borrow a pad from my neighbor!! I called the on call dr and he said it could be uterine tissue shedding? Umm...ok. I had a supracervical with BSO so I am not sure how this could be. The blood is brown like back when your period was starting or finishing up. I have also noticed a dull pain on my left side just under my incision.
Anyone out there have this problem? What did your doc say was going on? I can't believe my own eyes here!

I'm so sorry that you are having these problems and although I cannot give you any feedback on this, I just wanted to let you know that I am keeping you in my prayers and I hope that you get some relief ASAP.

Re: Vaginal bleeding 9 months post-op
The cervix can have endometrial lining (or uterine tissue as the on call doctor called it). This lining can shed in response to hormones. Women who keep at least one ovary and the cervix can experience a mini period--slight bleeding every month.
Brown discharge usually means old blood vs. new blood.
I would suggest following up with your doctor. It might be that your hormones need tweaking. Try not to panic as there are so many reasons for bleeding and many of them are not serious issues! Keep track of what you experience and try to take it easy this weekend.
If for some reason you do experience a lot of bright red bleeding, seek medical attention immediately.
Sending extra s your way!

Re: Vaginal bleeding 9 months post-op
Hi, I am 4 months post op and am spotting bright red blood. I was shocked when I went to the bathroom after a nap and wiped. I called the doctor but haven't heard back yet. This is when I would normally have my period and I did keep my cervix but this is the first time I have had anything so bright in color. I'm worried.
