It is Amazing...

How something as simple as a shower can wear me out! Wow!

And the tape residue, does it ever come off? No matter how much I shower, it just moves to a new spot! Between the brusing and the tape residue...I'm not fit to be seen in public!

LOL I remember taking a shower, blow drying and straightening my hair in preparation to go to the store. I needed a 3 hour nap to recover after. The trip to the store had to wait. It gets better with time so hang in there.
For the tape residue try some unscented Vaseline on it to moisten it and it should come off easier if you leave it on for around an hour before. Just be sure to use the stuff from a tube so it's clean Vaseline with nobody's fingers having been in it.
By the time you're headed back to work the time and energy it takes to get ready will be less.

I used nail polish remover to get the tape off then hopped in the shower.

I'd be afraid to use that on the tape near my incisions. They even told me no lotion or oils near those. Still have some residue there....for the ones on my arm (and where they forgot to remove one of the ekg thingys on my side) I may try that.
