4 days post hysterectomy: Blister at one incision site

Hi all. I am 4 days post-op and have developed a blister (pea-sized) on the edge of one incision, partly under the steri strip. It isn't red or inflamed or painful, but it does itch. My doc's office said it's likely a reaction to the adhesive, but I wanted to hear from others who may have had these blisters. I'm fearful of infection. Thank you so much!

Yes I had this! Mine was actually under the tape they used over the lap site. I removed the tape and the blister oozed a bit. Had some antibiotic cream and applied a very thin layer over blister.
It's completely healed now but there is a mark ;(
There goes my bikini contest!!

Thank you for your reply! I'm feeling less stressed about it. I've heard these blister cause a scar, but I'll consider it more like a battle wound. The fighting is finally over. 😊

After my last csection, my doc said to apply vitamin E oil to the incision sight to help with the scaring.
