Its worth it

I was scared about the surgery, knew it was what I had to do for the endo. No kids or plans for kids. I had a TVH with stomach line cut. Well I want all the pre op scared sister to know that although everyone has different expirences. The time flys once its over. Went in on Wed out on Sat. Still little stomach ill on the following Sunday but now 2 weeks out feeling great. Helps knowing I have until the end of August to return to work though.

I know now all the time I spent making my decision I could have just done it and been feeling great sooner.

Education is the best tool when dealing with any life altering decision

Its worth it

I'm with you, Jadehog. This is the best decision I think I've ever made. I wavered a little bit before surgery (pre-op jitters) but now that it's over I know the pain I'm having now will go away and I won't be miserable anymore. I'm also thinking about all the money I'll be saving now that Aunt Flo won't be visiting anymore. She sure is a costly guest to have so frequently. Take care of yourself!!

Its worth it

If I hadn't had my hysterectomy on the 28th of June, this would be the week for the dreaded visit from Auntie Flo. However, since the surgery, no visit. It's weird, because I think my body still believes it should be having a period, so I'm still getting all the PMS acne breakouts, etc. I told my doctor last Friday that the week of the 18th thru whenever was usually period time...and nope, i don't miss it!!!!

I agree that it's totally worth it! The only regret I have is that I didn't have it done 5 years ago.
