New here and 3 wks post-op

Hi ladies, I am kim, new here and 3 wks post-op form TAH BSO. I seem to be doing very well, although yesterday, I drove and went shopping (loading in items was probably dumb). Still a bit of tenderness, and a 2-3 inch section of skin along the insicion that seems to be numb.I stil get a bit tired and take a nap daily. I have read some of your posts and I am wondering if I am rushing things, I was planning to go back to work next week. Part time, general office. Also, my written instructions said no lifting more than 10 lbs. I havn't exceeded that (in one lift) but does that sound like alot?

I had my surgery on the same day as you. My Dr. put me off work until Dec 12. At times I feel like I could go back tomorrow but then it hits me. I have only left the house for Dr appts and a couple of trips to the store with my DH. My belly swells more and more every day and I hate that!!! I have lost weight but my belly...grrr. My recomendations would be to go with what you feel but don't over do it. I don't think that the Dr would give me this much time off if he didn't think I needed it.
