Wait! Wait! Listen to your HEAD...I also went through this...and it takes much longer, and even this it takes patience simply to overcome the fear you will feel...Goodness I worry about certain medics....and I get very annoyed they are so flippant as regards women's bodies! *rant over* Maureen

Am also just three weeks post OP today and am starting to do the small stuff. My doc says no sex for 8 weeks and no lifting but I can start with small work out next week so 4 weeks post OP. Driving still a bit hard as I am afraid to have to slam on the breaks if needed. Incision still sensitive and when I do too much like walking too many stairs or bending too often. Hoping to go back to work next week but when i sit in a chair for a long time it hurts. Sex now? No way!

Hi. I drive with a small "pillow pet" against my abdomen because I'm still sensitive and I'm worried about if I need to slam on the brakes.

I too was cleared at my 3 week appointment. But just based off of everything I read online and basic fear, I waited until 6 weeks for intercourse and lifting. Everything seems to be going fine. I am 8 weeks post op now. I still have a really hard time relaxing for sex...

Re: Cleared for EVERYTHING at 3 weeks post hysterectomy?!?! In serious need of opinions.

Yesterday I got my 3 month check. I too was released to engage in my busy life. My doc removed my stitches on the belly and bikini line. Doc gave me my path report and said remember"no sexual activity until after 6 weeks". Just take it slow .... She also said cuz I had everything removed, no more paps or pelvics needed. I feel pretty good. Hope there are other sisters in the same boat.
