2 weeks post with bleeding

I am two weeks from my Lap (cervix and one ovary intact). I am bleeding and cramping and saw the dr. yesterday - he doesn't have an answer except to take it easy. yeah right. I am in my first week of student teaching and have 3 kids- one of which is 1 1/2. Does this sound correct? The bleeding was bright red but now pink.
thanks.

Wow, I feel for you having to do that much only 2 weeks po. I have heard when you have kept the cervix you can have mini periods, but only being two wks out it is probably normal discharge. I had pink-then brownish discharge as much as 4- 5 wks out. So I think that is normal. If it is bright red and heavy, I think I'd be more insistent with the doctor to check you out.

I am 2 weeks out and am not quite as active as you are. Did the student teaching thing almost 7 years ago, that will keep you very active. I have a 2 year old at home and keeping up with her and 5yo DS and the major daily housework keeps me going. I also have light bleeding and do get some cramps especially if I have been over doing it. Color ranges from red to brown. Your doc is right though we should still be taking it easy, I know I am doing to much, but like you I really don't have much choice. Rest as much as possible and try to stay off your feet as much as possible. It takes 4-6 weeks to heal from an LSH from what I have read from other sisters. Hang in there and try to be carful, you don't want to end up back in the hospital with hemorragin. Also be very carful picking up your little one lifting more than 10# is a no-no. GL in your recovery, Angela

I am also 2 weeks out and I have had bleeding since the hyst. It varies from red to pink and has a bit of a watery consistency, not normal period blood.

I saw my doctor yesterday and he said it was normal - no cause for alarm. He said that the blood gets built up behind the cervix during surgery and that it takes time for it all to come out.

I can't wait until it is gone forever!!!
