VivelleDot reaction?????????

I'm 2 weeks out and have been on the low dose 0.025 of the vivelle dot. I have a rash on my arm that looks like poison ivy and all around my eye is swollen and red like on the lid and undernieth. Do you think this is pink eye or something or a reaction from the Dot patch? My surgeon gave me his beeper number but no reply. Can't get ahold of anyone down here in wonderful Mississippi. Guess I shouldn't complain about MS as its Louisiana I have to go to since we don't have Doctors here. Nice that you have major surgery and all I can get is secretaries telling me to go to the Emergency Room. Gotta love it.

VivelleDot reaction?????????

Hi iona4
I'm sorry to hear that you're having so much trouble getting a hold of a dr. I use the Vivelle Dot and looked over the information I have. I don't see anything on their list that would indicate this being a reaction to the patch. I'm sure not a dr, so I could be off, but it isn't listed among the common side effects anyway.
I hope you can get in to see a dr soon so you can know for sure and get this taken care of. Let us know what you find out.

VivelleDot reaction?????????

Thanks for writing. I went to one of those walk in urgent care places and they almost weren't going to take me because my hysterectomy was so recent but They took the chance and sae me. Turns out I have poison ivy on my arm and up around my eye. So I have some salve(sp) and they gave me these steroid tablets. I looked up the tablets online and there was nothing but complaints from all these people so I think I will just try to bare with it with the cream. I still can't believe that I can't get ahold of my regular Doc after paying the money etc. The poison ivy aggro I guess is taking my mind of the hysto I guess. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Thanks again for your responses.

I'm so sorry to hear about the poison ivy. I hope you can get it under control soon and get to feeling better. It's so good they were willing to see you in the walk-in care place.
