5 Months Post Op - So Great!!

Just wanted to post a quick note to all those of you who may be considering DaVinci surgery. I'm 42. I had surgery in early December. Uterus, cervix, tubes removed - kept ovaries. It's now been 5 months and I feel fabulous! I wish I would have done this years ago. So much time wasted feeling miserable and always bleeding. I didn't realize how much this controlled and limited my life.

March 5th I ran my first 5k! At the end of March my son(19) and I took a Florida spring break trip. Best vacation ever! I can't remember any vacations I've ever had (even as a teenager) where I didn't have to worry about bleeding and all the other problems.

This was a wonderful thing and I wanted to inspire all of the princesses still going through it. Have the surgery! You're life will be so much better! You deserve it! There's no reason to continue to suffer. My family doctor wanted to continue to "wait and see" so glad I sought out a second opinion.

I can totally relate...I feel so much better since my surgery a few months ago. It was also getting a 2nd opinion that led me to my surgery. Best decision I've made in my life. My quality of life has dramatically improved. I am more energetic and healthier.

I couldn't agree more. My 5 month is coming up May 28 and I have never felt better. Worst problem I have is baggy pants that don't fit anymore since I've dropped a few inches. I actually have abs!
