nails?
Am I crazy or are my nails growing faster while I heal? My DH claims it's because I am not doing as much to break or damage them, but I swear they are simply growing faster. Maybe my body is in "grow" mode as it needs to grow new cells to heal.??? I have beautiful nails like never before and yet I'm not going anywhere for anyone to admire them! LOL

Hey
You know its really funny I was just talking to my husband about my nails. They are growing extremely fast and hard not brittle like before. Are you on HRT? I am on the patch, so I am wondering if it is that. Let me know!

nails?
Thats the one thing that has changed for me too. I never had nails before and now they are nice and I have kept them polished and filed! Seeing how I am further along than the 2 of you, I can say its not because you arent doing chores and stuff. I thought it might be my HRT patch too.

nails?
Wow! My nails are also growing. I'm not on any hormones, however. I'm leaning toward the less work theory.

nails?
My nails are harder then they have ever been. I noticed this in the hospital (I was in for 6 days). They also have a natural shine to them, whereas they were very dull and paper thin before.

nails?
I also have the most beautiful nails.
But I thought it was because I've done not a stick of housework for a few weeks and I've had time to sit and file and polish. That never normally happens!

nails?
My nails were the best theve every been, Ive tried for years to grow them like they were for the first three months after my op, all one lenght, nice and neat. but alas as soon as I was back to work and doing the household duties they were the worst theyve ever been. A friend has just bought me some nail polish to strenghten them which Im being really good and applying it everyday to see if I can get them back to better condition so for me I think it was just the case of not doing anything to break them as I did nothing at all for almost three months.

nails?
I was wondering the same thing. The first 4 weeks my nails were growing, not peeling and tearing like usual. Now I'm back to my awful peeling, thin nails. I was trying to figure out what they gave me in the hospital that strengthened my nails. the bags of potassium? the frozen plasma? the shot to boost red blood cell count?

I've found my nails are growing faster too. I don't think it's the HRT, since I've been on that for over 2 years now. But my still break easy so I keep them short.
