nails?

I am the odd one out, I have had acrylic nails for a couple of years now and had a horrible time with them the year before my surgery. My nail tech tells me it was my hormones all out of wack and that it affects my natural nails. The acrylics were lifting at the back and my natural ones were growing like crazy! However, since the hyster six weeks ago I now have "normal" acrylics and don't need to get them filled weekly! (what a waste of money I know...)The natural nails are doing great and they look wonderful.. I have my ovaries and things seem to be evening out for me, hope it continues..

nails?

My nails are doing much better since my surgery too. Don't think it has anything to do with the hormone patches tho' as I'm not on them. Still have my ovaries and they're functioning well.... And since I returned back to work very shortly after my surgery (home-based business), I can't put it down to inactivity either..... My hair and skin are also looking healthier. I'm thinking along the lines that my body is now able to focus on healing my other parts instead of just my uteri with the adeno.

nails?

A friend in the medical field told me that all the IV solutions used during surgery can help contribute to nail health post-op.

Mine are looking good too..

After reading this thread, I really took a look at my nails. They are looking pretty good. Prior to surgery they had all broken off. I worked pretty hard pre op to have my house in some kind of order so I would not have to worry about it while I was recovering. I have not done a lick of house work since the surgery. I think it is the lack of cleaning (and cleaning chemicals)and my generally more healthy body interior.
