discovery health, chk your listings

today i just saw a show about a 46 yr old lady that had a hyst. usually discovery health shows the same show several times. it was very informative. this lady had the choice to keep or not her ovaries and cervix, she also had a large fibroid, i didnt kno this till today, there is a major difference if u have laposcopic (not sure on that spelling) this lady said she hardly had no pain and the recovery was alot faster than abdominal. i had endo pretty bad so i think i didnt have a choice. the dr, said it takes more time to do it this way, and it makes me wonder if sometimes the dr choses to go abdominal cuz its easier on him.. very good informative show, check it out. tina

Thanks for the info

Just a note on the endo. It is my understanding that an abdominal hyst is performed in known cases of endo, such as mine, because the DR has a much better view than with a lap. Sometimes endo can attatch itself to other organs such as the bladder and bowl. So it's probaby a case of better safe than sorry. This is how it was explained to me.
I'll be watching for the show!
HUGS!
