Re: food cravings, PMS????

I'm 6 days post op. So far no PMS cravings, but then again I will no longer be having any periods.
I have an appetite, but I am finding that all I want to eat is fruit, oatmeal and tuna fish. Guess those are pretty healthy choices. So it could be worse.
Are you taking pain meds? The ones I'm on seem to be decreasing the amount of food I want to eat...a good thing since my activity level has gone waay down.

Re: food cravings, PMS????

Nope, no pain meds, I'm almost 6 weeks post op. I had everything removed so the pms cravings are a bit odd, I'm thinking maybe its just YEARS of training my brain is just used to wanting and eating @ this time of the month.
Hmmmm?????? Oh well, as long as I work it off I suppose its okay, right?

Re: food cravings, PMS????

I have had moments where I swear, if I had ovaries I would be in serious PMS mode!

Re: food cravings, PMS????

Yes exactly the same. For 2,5 days all I could think about was food, and then it stopped again. If it is pmt it is much shorter than before, and painless. (I have the rest of the month to get rid of the dougnuts and chips!)

Re: food cravings, PMS????

part of last week, this week and next would normally be my cycle (9/10-around 9/25) or so. I did experience one day that I finally felt hungry and found myself leaning towards chocolate choices (up until then my appetite was not anywhere normal pre op) and after 1 day it has returned to no appetite and what I would consider normal portions) prior to surgery I felt as though I pmdd for about 3 of the 4 weeks, now I noticed only 1 day, so much better so far and yes I still have both my ovaries I will continue to monitor to make sure I dont go outta wack later on , good luck
