The Big Day Is Over

Hey Sisters,

I had my surgery on Sept 1. I was suppose to get the Devinci but once they got started by fibroids was so big they resulted to the lap without the robot. I am told that my fibroids weighed three pounds, the biggest that many had ever seen. The nurses was teasing in recovery! This is day 4 and feel pretty good today. Was very slow having a bowel movement just had one today had to take a lax. for a little assistance. My stomach is swollen on on side and feeling kind of tight. Hoping that to feel better real soon! Did anyone else exprience more pain on one side of the stomach and tightness? God Bless

Re: The Big Day Is Over

That's normal, Blessie. I had tightness and swelly belly a lot the first 2 to 3 weeks. Just make sure you rest as much as possible the first 2 weeks. No lifting or tugging on anything! That will make sure you heal inside!

Re: The Big Day Is Over

I had one side that hurt more and bruised more. It has something to do with how much the tools were used on that side. At least that's what I've been reading.

I'm 6 months now and feel so so much better than before my surgery.
