severe pain in hands and feet 5 months post op

Hi
Just wondering if anyone out there has had any problems with worsening pain in your hands and feet since your hysterectomy. Just need to know if things could be connected or not. I am not on any HRT. Don't know if the surgery has anything to do with it or not. Right now just grasping at straws. Any help or info. would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I have had new aches that bother me and old ones that seem worse, especially in the morning -- I have started to take 8 hour arthritis formula Tylenol that seems to keep it tamed better than ibuprofen or quick-release Tylenol. Not sure why, but the extended slow release seems to work best for me. Read up a little on HRT, which sounds like helps with aches. I got off HRT a couple of years ago but now wonder if I would feel better (and younger ) if I went back on it.

Guess after 5 months we thought we would not think back to our surgery as much! Don't have fatigue and can exercise without discomfort unless I use too much resistance.... then I ache more the next day. But things seem so much better overall

Do you have more hot flashes lately?? I think the lack of ovaries even after I thought I had gotten through the worst phase of menopause has set my thermostat up!! Seems like it took a couple months since surgery (mine was Jan. 22nd) before I noticed them and lately they seem more frequent.

Not sure this helps, but I know finding out others are going through what I am lets me breathe a bit easier and not worry as much about my recovery. We've been through a lot and having other 'sisters' to share with has been fantastic! Hope your aches settle down very soon!!!!!

I'm sorry you're experiencing this.

Have you asked your doctor about it? I've known many ladies experience painful joints during menopause and I think you've had your ovaries removed? I'm not sure if HRT is an option for you (and it may not be the solution anyway) but it would certainly be worth making an appointment for medical advice.

Sending all good wishes and I hope you find answers and relief very soon!
