Re: pulling feeling????

It's normal. I had a lot of that around 2 weeks and it lasted a week. I still get a little bit of it, but it has lessened a lot this past week. It's the pain that keeps me on a small dose of pain pills at almost 4 weeks post op. The pulling, piercing, and stabbing pain happens randomly now rather than almost constantly like it did during that third week. When it happens, it makes me scream if I don't take my pain pill. I'm very much looking forward to it totally disappearing.

Re: pulling feeling????

I am 4 months+ out now, but whenever I felt any pulling sensations I would immediately stop what I was doing and rest. For me, it was mainly during activity. If I didn't feel any pulling but did too much, after as while I would feel a kind of heaviness where my uterus used to be.

I think it's pretty normal to have various sensations as we we heal, but if it is bothersome or worrisome, please call your doctor. They are there to help you through this.

Re: pulling feeling????

I'm three weeks post op and I have this same thing. The pulling sensation and the stabbing pain down there.
I have noticed that the pulling is worse if my bladder is full. So when you get that pulling feeling, have a pee and a lie down. Maybe that will help?

Re: pulling feeling????

I'm 2 months post op and i still have that pulling sensation in my pelvic area. It goes down to my vagina and through my right thigh. My pain is all on the right side. It's normal, it's just our bodies trying to mend back together.

Re: pulling feeling????

I had the pulling in my abdomen and stabbing pains in my vagina at 2.5 weeks. I posted about this same thing and from what I gathered its normal. I still have some pulling occasionally and every once in awhile I get the stabbing pains in my vagina, but not nearly as often. Just sometimes out of the blue it just happens. Some sisters have said that it's nerves healing back and cuff healing. At my 6 week check up last week my dr. Examined me and said I was healing perfectly. Good luck with your recovery

Re: pulling feeling????

The nurse practitioner in my family wellness doctors office shared with me that healing pains, pulls, throbs, and burns can happen will into the end of the 1 yr mark after surgery. She said you can go weeks, sometimes months with not 1 single ache or no fatige and suddenly it may feel like someone is stabbing you with a pencil or like you were up for days....Hope your feeling better today.
