All my shopping and prep is done!

I think I'm ready!

I got the call from the pre-admission department at the hospital today. They took the medical history, and I faxed them all the PAT labs and reports from my attempted hysteroscopy on 2/9. All is good to go there! I expect a call tomorrow afternoon letting me know what time I need to be at the hospital. If surgery is still going to be at 7:30 a.m., I need to be there at 5:30! which means I have to get up at 4:00 a.m.!!! Yikes! Almost makes me want to change my mind about being the first surgery of the day. But, at least I'll be over and done with surgery before noon!

I just finished my pre-op shopping today...new sheets and really soft fuzzy blanket, extra big panties, and some throw pillows. I also had to get the bowel prep stuff, gas X, stool softeners, hibiclens for the night before and the morning of, and pads! I haven't used pads in 20 years!

My room is clean and organized and ready to cuddle me after surgery. My brother arrives tomorrow afternoon. He's going to hang out with mom and her significant other while I'm in surgery. My fiance is due to arrive the week after surgery to take over household duties and post-op care for mom when she goes out of state for a month.

I've got my stuff for the hospital ready to go...loose clothes for the ride home, slippers, robe, nightgown, fluffy slippers. Now I just have to remember that it's clear liquids only tomorrow. I am so ready to get this over and done with! I'm glad the waiting is just about over.

Thank you! I wish I could have a day of complete relaxation. But, I have a full day of work ahead of me. That's okay though. It will help distract me from wanting more than clear liquids! One more day!!! Woo hoo!!!
