Insomnia!!!!! 4wks PO- TAH BSO

Good night!! I cannot seem to get a complete nights sleep if my life depends on it. I fall asleep for about 2-3 hours then I am awake for 3-4 hours......I will end up going back to sleep around 5am and can sleep till 9-10am. This herky jerky sleeping is driving me nuts!!! I don't feel rested at all. ANy one else had problems sleeping since their surgery??? I had the same sleep issues the night after my surgery in the castle too.

Re: Insomnia!!!!! 4wks PO- TAH BSO

I had trouble sleeping through the night also. I would sleep for a few hours, wake up, go to the restroom and could not sleep. So, I would get my Nook and read until I fell asleep again. I was finally able to sleep through the night about 3months post op. Hopefully you will get to sleep again,!

Re: Insomnia!!!!! 4wks PO- TAH BSO

Im only 10 days post op with a TAH, but my sleep is completely jacked up so far too. For me its completely understandable. I am a stomach sleeper...first problem! LOL Lots of things wrong and work done on the left side...so sleeping in that position is a no go. I hate sleeping on my back. So...once my "shift" is over on my right side...things get interesting!

I still dont sleep well at night yet...I feel like I am always exhausted, and when I do sleep I have the strangest dreams! It seems to be getting better, but very slowly.
