TVH: My first TMI/personal question...(kids mentioned)

This year I've been on bedrest from a high risk pregnancy, had a baby and had a uterine ablation and tubal. With all that and the constant bleeding dh and I don't have relations much anymore.

So here's the TMI part: I'm finally not bleeding any at all today. My hyst is scheduled for tomorrow. Since it will be 6 more weeks before we can do it again would it be horrible to do it tonight as long as I shower in the morning before surgery?

I would double check with your Dr. Many sisters have said that their Dr's were okay with it but all things can vary.

I agree. . .check with your Dr. first. When I asked mine she said "Oh, yes, it is going to be awhile before he gets some."

Those were my thoughts exactly,,,,between heavy long pds, complete misery and a baby that is still in our bed and he's 3!!! (he'll leave before he's in college i;m sure lol) I gave it to my hubby because it was "going to be a while" I never considered calling the doctor, but thats always a good place to start. And I would go for it. As long as you shower I am sure you are fine. I don't remember being told not to.

I agree go for it!!! Unless they are sending cultures not sure what it could hurt. Would double check if you are having culture or biopsy done because believe it or not we can see sperm on slides if you don't care we usually don't but Im not your doc. LOL

I would call and ask. It would be awful to find out that the doctor had to cancel the surgery because of sex!

I asked my doc that and they told me I could as long as it was not the morning of about 12 hours before and I cleaned myself really well. We did, I did, and all is well. Have some fun, agree with them about calling that was just my experience
