Hi Sandy...don't feel like the lone ranger...I had no pain and only heavy bleeding as symptoms before my hyst....I even talked to the dr about not doing the procedure because of that....His reasoning was that I had a very enlarged utereus that needed to come out (fibroid tumors)....I am 5 wks post op and glad its over...I do feel better....Didn't realize how much pressure was on my bladder and just always feeling bloated....Hang in there....And talk to your dr about it...I also freaked the week prior to surgery...I think that was the worst part....My best to you...It will soon be over!!

Hi Sandy,
I know exactly what you mean!! I'm having a tvh on 7/16 for pre-cancer!! I'm in no pain, have had regular periods always!! So, I guess we have nothing to gain immediately from doing this!! Except the obvious of thwarting off the possibility of invasive cervical cancer!! But to know it could come back elsewhere is mind boggling, isn't it??
I'm trying to look on the bright side, no more periods, and being monitored regularly for any recurrence.

But I completely understand how you feel!! I feel great, as I always have. By the time the cancer makes you feel bad though, it would probably be too late to treat!!

I wish I knew the words to make us both feel better. You do have company in your situation... that's about all I can offer.

Try to keep sane. It will all be over soon!!

:run3: You are not alone. I keep making a list of the why-to have's and another list of why-not's. In the end the why-not's lose for me because surgery is an inevitable and it's safer to do it now. I don't want to go through this now, but now is the time for me. There are a few questions I have for my tomorrow morning before surgery but (at this moment anyway) I am going through with it. Just really nervous about the recovery period as I am sole support for three kidlets. God will provide. I don't know what your list looks like - but I sure understand the wrecked nerves & Prayers

Dont feel bad!! I have to tell you that all of the things you are feeling right now are sooo normal.I was a basket case a few days before my surgery...then this strange calm fell over me the day before. This weekend will be tough, but you will get through it.Take a deep breath, and think about how much better you will feel when this is all over.Waiting reallly is the worst part of this...You'll see afterwards how the waiting was the hardest part.Good luck..your almost there!!!
