Need Help!

I had a laparoscopy yesterday for suspected endometriosis and endometrial adhesions... what they found was not endometriosis. My doc said that I have severe scar tissue on my uterus (I've had 3 c-sections), left ovary and fallopian tube, and it is all connected to my stomach and stomach muscles. He said my uterus is pulled up and to the left--which has been causing a lot of pain. He said it was too dangerous to operate through the lap, so I now have 2 choices. I can either go in for major surgery to TRY to repair the scarring and damage, then try to concieve with just my right side, OR I can have a hysterectomy and removal of my left ovary and tube. I do not know what to do.

I have 3 beautiful girls, and my husband does not necessarily want more children-and I'm not sure what I want. Part of me wants to have one more, but part of me thinks it would be nice to be done. If I have another baby it means 3 more surgeries--the repair, the c-section, and the hysterectomy.

I'm hoping someone has some insight and can help me to decide what to do. Thanks.

Need Help!

I'm sorry that you are so torn with your decision Although, I think it is good that you are considering your options before rushing into a hyster and regretting it. I know it's hard being in so much pain Only you know what is right in your situation. If you can stand the pain, take some time to find out what is right. Maybe even get a 2nd opinion. Some docs are more skilled at laps than others. In the meantime, you will receive tons of support here! Do some research and know that we are here if you need us...I wish you luck with whatever you decide!
