Little specks of blood ~ anyone else?

QUESTION: This past Thursday I was one week post op. I noticed today when I wiped that there was blood on the tp. Not like a period or even spotting but little specks of blood. Has anyone else had this? Does anyone know if this is normal or to be expected? I can't think of a time that I did something that could have popped any of my vaginal stitches so I don't know where the blood could be from. TIA for any info you all may have.

Hoosier Gal

A certain amount of bleeding can be part of the normal healing process and I wouldn't have thought that such a tiny amount is anything to worry about. However, please don't hesitate to contact your doctor if you're at all concerned or if the bleeding increases.

Have you found our <link> Post-Op Page yet? It's packed with information to help with your recovery.

Sending all good wishes as you continue to heal!

Re: Little specks of blood ~ anyone else?

i had the same pinkness-only when i wiped! eventually, about 3 weeks post, it stopped.... i just guessed it was part of the whole recovery process.... i did ask my doctor about it and he said as long as it wasn't bright red and a lot of blood not to worry..... i had to wear a liner for a few weeks, much better than having a period and now its gone!!! ( some pinkness would be on my liner )

Same here, and now at 5 weeks post-op I have very little of anything coming out.
