6 Week Post Op Visit

I had my 6 week post op visit today! Doctor said I can resume all normal activities as I can tolerate with one caveat - he said my vagina still needs some time to heal so nothing in there for another 2-3 weeks which means no sex!!! Has anyone else ever encountered this? Guess I'm a little naive but is this the healing that the vagina needs to do where the cervix was? Doctor said nothing was wrong but that it just need more healing time.

I'm so glad my DH is so understanding!!!

Thanks for sharing. I go for my 6 week post-op on Thursday. I msut admit that I am more apprensious about this than I was the surgery.

I am curious about the vagina healing part. Any thoughts from others?

I went back for a post op visit with my DR at 4 weeks. He cleared me at that time from any restrictions. EVEN SEX !! He did caution me on sweeping and using the vacuum. He cautioned to just do alittle at a time. Just vacuum one room not the whole house.
I have learned on this site that all DR's are diffrent and expect diffrent things. We just kinda have to go by what OUR OWN DR says.

I too, have my 6 week dr. appt. on Thursday! Can't believe 6 weeks has gone by so fast. Starting to enjoy all this "down" time, since I'm finally starting to get around better! I'm anxious to see what my dr. says too about my healing. My husband has plans for us immediately (parking lot) after the dr. visit!!! LOL!
