Making apppointment

I think I have finally hit the end of my rope with all this period stuff! I'm calling the doctor today to discuss options. I had a D&C 3 years ago for heavy bleeding. Diagnosed with fibroids and ovarian cyst at that time. Periods were better for awhile. Now, I'm bleeding every 10-15 days and it lasts for 10-14 days! Yesterday very heavy, cramping, and oh so moody! Although most days are not heavy. I am 46. I keep thinking maybe I should just be patient and menopause will hit soon. But my luck, I'll still be bleeding at age 60! Does this sound like your story? Any ideas or advise?

I am sorry you are having a rough time with your cycles. Having bleed for two years prior to my hyst, I am sending some s you way!

Talk to your dr about what is happening and if your hormones levels show menopause is close at hand. You might ask about another D&C or an ablation, both which could help with the bleeding. A hyst is a major surgery so hopefully your dr will have some alternatives or options for you.
