Pain after pelvic exam

I had my 6 week pelvic exam on Wednesday and am experiencing a lot of pain since then. I couldn't sleep because it hurt so much last night and luckily, I've been pretty much pain free since I had my laparoscopic vaginal hysterectomy and right ovary removal, so this is really bothering me that I'm now experiencing pain. I'm returning to work on Monday. Any suggestions or has any one else experienced this after their 6 week pelvic exam besides person above?

Last week at 3 1/2 weeks I had to have an internal exam to rule out an infection. For about 2 days after I was definitely crampy but it went away. I took some Ibuprofin for the pain afterwards..

Thank you for the information. I was down to taking 3 ibuprofen twice a day and now I'm taking it every four hours again. So weird that it happened. Never had that before with a pelvic exam and hope it never happens again!
