I had LSH/BSO on Aug 10th 05....
I think I overdid it today...and now I am worried.

We had a yard sale today and I helped get things (heavy things) out to the driveway. I started hurting a few hours later. It feels almost like period cramps, but there is nothing there to cramp up!!!!! I also noticed that my tummy is swollen and hard. My 6 wk appointment is this tuesday morning...should I call my doc NOW, or am I ok to wait til tues morning?

Hi Mrs Gnarly

I wouldn't wait until Tuesday, just in case. It's better to be safe than sorry? It would be awful if they say to you that they wished you had come in sooner ...

Wishing you all the best.

Sorry, you are hurting. This is still the time to be resting and not lifting anything.

Here is a link to our Post-op articles on the left under what is allowed and what is not:

Take care of yourself this is the time to heal properly so as not to have complications down the road.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

Sorry you are feeling so bad. It's still a little early for you to be lifting heavy things. When you do go back to lifting, you need to ease into it. I'm 7 weeks and still taking it easy. I'm lifting heaviers items, but I won't be moving furniture anytime soon.

Take it easy.

Hi, I would say you def. over did it. I would relax today with your feet up and see your doctor on Tuesday. I think it is your bodys way of telling you that you did too much. I still get sore when I'm on my feet too long. Listen to your body and take a break when needed. Hope this helps.

I agree with atoretti, just put your feet up and listen to your body. The doctor wouldn't be able to do anything for you and it would put more pressure on you to get there in the first place. Time for a bit of r&r! Because your not spotting you might have gotten off easy. And if I'm not mistaken the swelly belly appears when you've done too much. Time for that cup of tea and a good book! Hope you feel better!
