I am 6 months post op-and I am still having swelly belly

I must confess to not having any intimacy since my surgery nearly 7 months ago!!! My lovely partner's wonderful patience is wearing thin, but I cant even stand for her to pretend like we are going to be intimate. With all the 'funny' sensations I am having inside and outside incision area, continued swelly belly and partial numbness from epidural and local to control post-op pain issues(which worked!!!) I just get the heebeejeebees even thinking about sex with swelly belly et al--BUT ITS BEEN 7 MONTHS

Thank you for asking that, it describes me also. I have almost no libido. I had thought it was because I was so disgusted at my swelly belly. Maybe I was needing a shrink to sort it out. But then maybe not. And sex is not very comfortable,

wow, all this information has really helped me too. My belly has felt even sore to the touch at the end of the day. I went back to work today(half day) and my belly feels so bloated and uncomfortable. Ugh! As hard as it was to hear you ladies stories it does help to take some of the "healing pressure" off. thanks

I am happy to report that things are beginning to change in the sex department and we actually had a great time just last night!!! It took over 7 months for me to feel comfortable(and there was no intercourse) but it was wonderful and painless. Just wanted to report some exciting news!!!
and I really sweated it out in a full on yoga class this morning and felt great afterwards and even wore a cute and short summer dress!!! SWELLY BELLY BE ****ED!!!!

I am 8 weeks post op now and had a very flat belly before. I find it is flat in the morning, but gets worse as day goes on. I use the swelly belly thing that I ordered from here. I just keep it in the freezer and use it whenever I feel swollen. It feels GREAT and works GREAT! I would not recommend a heating pad as heat swells and cold shrinks.
Glad to know though - I was worrying that this was it and I was stuck with my little pooch!
