Question about orgasm.....

Hello sisters...it's been a long time since I've visited this board as so much has happened in my life since my hyst.

I hope I am posting this in the appropriate area......and I hope someone can give me some insight as I have researched the net and can't find an answer to my question anywhere.

My common law relationship ended, we put the house up for sale, then took it off the market as I decided to buy him out and keep my house. My father's health has not been well and I'm worried about him because my parents have always downplayed his health issues. Just a few of the many uphevels in my life. Needless to say it has been a very busy year for me.

Getting back to my topic at hand......

I recently became involved with a wonderful man and everything between us is incredible.......in the short time we have been together ( six weeks) we have both developed very strong feelings for each other. Now..this may be TMI, but I have never before experienced a gspot orgasm UNTIL now. Now here is the strange thing......I 'ejaculated' three times fairly close together, but I didn't orgasm when this happened???? Everything felt great, but I didn't experience that 'full body orgasm' that the g spot orgasm is supposed to be. (I've only ever been able to orgasm through clitoral stimulation)
Now.....from what I have read.....the g spot 'o' causes UTERINE contractions along with the vaginal contractions. Could this be the reason I did not experience an 'o'....because my uterus is gone???? I'm trying to understand this wonderful experience we had as I am truly amazed it even happened to me. (it was a first for my bf as well)

I hope I explained myself clearly....and I hope this isn't too graphic but i didn't know where else to ask such a personal question.

Has anyone else experienced this or have any insight???

Thanks.

Question about orgasm.....

I'm glad you asked this question because I heard with the big 'o' it is your Uterus that you feel contracting? And, some women have said that once you have a hysterectomy, you don't have the same type of 'o'. But, I am to early to try it out.

I just can't wait till the other sisters who are to that point can give some answers!

ok, I'll take a stab at this question....

Hi.... my experiences may or may not be of any help.

Regarding orgasm by "G-spot"... I've done SOOOOO much research having to do with this mysterious g-spot issue. Depending on who you talk to, they are either VERY sure - THAT was the stimulated spot or they will say its a bunch of crapola and just another way to sell "products" shaped differently.

I had even asked my gyno about it years ago... she said it all started in Hollywood and was made a mainstream topic after Masters & Johnson went public with their workshops decades ago.

It sounds like all your internal plumbing is working just fine, all things considered!!! Congrats on the new relationship. Now..........

I had almost the same thing happen to me. I've NEVER had any issues with clitoral orgasms... and only the past 15 years have I had better/more INTENSE vaginal orgasms. (New relationship for me too!!!) My biggest concern was that I would lose those intense internal orgasms. What I have found is that if I can get close to that point..., then am able to add the clitoral stimulation... its as good as before.

I think you may be ON to something... the loss of the Uterus, may be affecting the intensity simply because it is one less organ to spasm. It makes sense to me. Your new companion sounds fabulously caring... have some fun learning different ways to achieve new heights!!!

My husband and I are enjoying different ways to enjoy each other. I love the fact that we can be so relaxed and have some fun at the same time!!!

One more thing... I think this is just about the "horniest" (can I say that?) I have been since my 20's!!! I'll be 50 next year, and I am absolutely having the time of my life!!! Our kids are on their own, I don't hemorrhage anymore and we can do things together without me trying to schedule things around my gushing periods!!

Again... I have no idea if this helps at all.... but just know there are many of us that are finding things being just a bit different... some of us - its BETTER!!!

Question about orgasm.....

Thank you both for your responses!

What I should have included in my original post was that...I still have intense orgasms with clitoral stimulation...no difference in those since before my hyst.......no problems with lubrication either....and actually my sex drive has gone through the roof! I attribute that to the phenomenal chemistry between my bf and I.
What I do not understand is what happened the other night in regards to my 'ejaculation' without having an actual orgasm??

It was the strangest thing really......wonderful, but 'weird'. TMI......I was on top when this happened and I felt the 'gush' as did my bf....he actually felt it more and well.....he was 'soaked'. Sorry I know this is graphic....I'm just trying my best to explain this.
I've heard and read about the g spot orgasm but to actually have it 'kind of' happen to me is just amazing. I just wonder if not having my uterus is the reason for not actually feeling this particular type of orgasm???

Hope this clarifies what I'm trying to ask......thanks so much for your responses!

Question about orgasm.....

hey serendee..........i'm rather thinking that you've stimulated the bartholan's gland, which is responsible for the "lubrication" of the vagina etc......, and that would explain the gushing of fluids etc. anyway, its good to know that the gland is still working fine and dandy ! !

as for my post-hyst orgasms, they are the same as before.....different every time ! ! i s'pose i will miss the deep uterine orgasm i used to sometimes have, but, mostly i don't think about the physical aspect of it. for me, its the happy after that i like, and i get that irrespective of the physical attributes of each orgasm? i'm just soooo glad that my button didn't get all broken ! ! no sense having your very own toy, and having it broken-down ! ! lol......and keep on keeping on...........gee.

Question about orgasm.....

Thank you , thank you, thank you. I didn't know that some orgasms came from uterine contractions. That explains so much. My MD released me at 6 weeks and my husband and I were finally able to. I hope I can say this...I orgasmed very strongly but differently. Now I understand why. Thanks again.

Question about orgasm.....

Well, I never heard anything about the uterus contracting during an orgasm so I can't help you there. However, on the ejaculating situation... I've heard that the feeling isn't much different than the sensations leading up to the big 'o' and that it usually immediately preceeds the big 'o' when it happens. They say that a woman being capable of ejaculating is a rare thing because you have to be able to really "let go" during the height of arousal and most women don't feel comfortable enough because they are afraid of urinating if they do. (Interesting fact because I am always afraid to let go for that very reason!)

Also, even during times of awesome sex we sometimes are incapable of reaching the big 'o' not because something is wrong but because our bodies just aren't always capable of getting there. That is one of the things that men have as an advantage in the sexual arena!

I've noticed that when I do have a big 'o' I've been stimulated in both the g-spot and clitoral areas to get me there. If there is only stimulation in one of the two spots... I usually won't climax all the way. This is something that's only been true since my hysterectomy. Before, only one area needed stimulated. So, perhaps your hyst has something to do with why you didn't get all the way? I'm just guessing due to my own personal experience.

The best way to find out for sure would be to speak with your doctor or see if he/she will refer you to a specialist in the field of women's arousal!

Question about orgasm.....

I did forget to mention that since my hysterectomy, the orgasms do feel different. It's hard to explain just exactly what is different... but better!! I've never had such feelings before. It's like I had an awakening in parts of my body that were never used before or something.

It's wonderful!!
