my op cancelled

My op has been cancelled and i am so angry. I got to the hospital at 10.30am and got gowned up and shaved. At 3pm they sent me for blood tests, then at 4pm they shouted me in so i kissed my dh who had sat with me all day. The nurse said for him not to go yet as she wanted a word with me. They then told me they had some bad news. They had to cancel my op as they had complications with someone else and an emergency. I was heart broken. I had not slept for days worrying about it and just wanted to get it over with.They said the only thing we can do is write to our Member of parliament and say we need more docs. It could even be after the new year before i get in now. All the arrangements i made with work for 8 weeks off and everything else i just feel so upset and angry. I now have to put up with the pain and bleeding again

My hyst was almost cancelled because the anemia was doing funky things to some of my pre-op tests. I was devastated with the thought of hemorrhaging one more month and needing to rebuild my hemoglobin.

That's three Sisters cancelled today. I am absolutely livid. What is this world coming to if all over the world women can't get the medical care they need when they need it?

It seems every country is having health difficulties.
I just can't even think straight to figure out what to do.
Do you know when you might get in?

Hi. No like you i have not been given a date. They did say my dr is going on leave at the end of the week so it could be in the new year. I too feel terrible, cant stop crying and am so angry. Hope you hear something soon.

Oh no You girls must be devastated.I guess the patients who were ahead of you and Intune were complicated cases and needed the extra attention.I guess have a little comfort in knowing that both your drs would do everything possible to make you better inside and not just close you up and say oh well.I know you both are hurt by this and it took alot to prepare,but I hope this message gives you at least a tiny bit of comfort.I'm sooooooo sorry.I hope you get another date soon.
