Help!!! Back to work??? 4 weeks post full hysterectomy with repairs

Hello,
I am 4 1/2 weeks post op of the Da Vinci surgery for my hysterectomy with anterior and posterior repair at the same time. I am beginning to feel more my self in last few days but still have discomfort sitting or standing for long periods, with abdominal discomfort and pain in repair sites and can't believe how easily I tire out. I am scheduled back to work in a week and a half for a physically demanding job (no lifting) with long hours (9 hour days) and an hour long commute each way. I will have been off for 6 weeks. I am worried about being able to physically be able to do this. Any advise is greatly appreciated!!!!

My advice would be to try to increase your activity levels by a little bit each day. This will help you increase your stamina so that hopefully when it's time to go back you don't tire as quickly and can stand/sit/walk a little longer.

I got the ok to go back to my physically demanding job in two weeks (4wks post op) and i am starting to seriously walk today to build up strength and stamina
