[font=Comic Sans MS]I just found this site. It has been wonderful. I am scheduled for a TAH due to a prolapsed uterus, Anterior and posterior repairs and a Bladder tack on Jan. 31st. I am a little nervous. This site has really helped me deal with all of the questions I have had. My doctor was wonderful with me and explained everything about the surgery. I just don't like the part about being out of work for 6 weeks. Hopefully I will heal really fast. Two of my sisters both had a TAH at age 28, I guess it is just my turn.

The pre-op jitters are worse than the surgery. Make sure you have help at home post op. Stock your kitchen well before surgery. Get one of those gopher sticks to help you pick up anything dropped. And do not over do it after surgery. Its easy to think oh that little thing won't hurt me. But people find out the hard way that take it easy means take it easy.
