Yes! Five years post op as of yesterday and everyhting has been wonderful..........until this morning.

A rather substancial pinkish color showed up on the toilet tissue after going to the bathroom, and needless to say, I am scared to death.

I have noticed the last several months or so, that very distintive, but yet mild, pre-menstrual feeling, or discomfort I used to get......nothing bad, but just that feeling like a period was almost ready to start.

Now this semi-blood color on the tissue. Could this be the beginnings of endo rearing it's ugly head once again....or God forbid, something worse??

When I had my surgery, my doctor told me that my endo was severe, along with huge fibroids. He told me that he basically had to "disect" me to get everything out....UGH... and that a possibility was there of the endo returning at some point.

I am going to make an appointment with him asap. Also, I have not had a Pap Smear or checkup since the regular post-op check-ups after the surgery. My Primary physician said as far as she was concerned, I didn't need any after a TAH.........maybe I shouldn't have listened to her.

I can only say again how wonderful the last 5 years have been being pain free but now I am scared out of my mind......I thought the color pink or red on the toilet tissue was something I never had to see again.

All I can do is send you a and heartfelt sympathy. Please let me know what the doctor says, okay? That sounds so scary.

s

Please make an appointment with your doctor! Do you have a GYN? Bleeding can be a sign of so many things from endo to vaginal dryness to bladder issues. So don't panic but get in to be seen quickly.

Often those of us with endo continue to have paps even without our cervix so we can be watched for endo in the vaginal area and on the vaginal cuff.

Your doctor may want to run a few tests to find out exactly what is going on. Any symptoms you can think of write down and take to your appointment. They may help your doctor determine which tests to start with and what the source may be.

I wish you the best and hope you will keep us posted! in there!
